Engineering a website around the way the business actually works
RSBSE Ltd is a multidisciplinary engineering and project-delivery business with experience spanning water and wastewater, MEICA, controls and instrumentation, mechanical and process engineering, manufacturing support, building services and project management.
The challenge was not simply to build a better-looking website. The real job was to organise a broad range of technical capability into something that felt clear, credible and commercially useful without turning the site into a wall of engineering jargon.
The new RSBSE website was designed around a simple principle: the business should lead with engineering and project delivery, while specialist manufacturing and property capability should support that message rather than compete with it.
The result is a custom WordPress website structured around the way clients are likely to engage with RSBSE. Engineering, manufacturing, building and property, project experience and enquiry routes are separated clearly, while the overall visual language stays consistent across the site.
A dark engineering-led visual style was used throughout, supported by the RSBSE blue palette, bold typography and real project imagery. The emphasis is on practical delivery rather than generic corporate claims.
More than a brochure site
A key part of the project was the development of a custom enquiry and quotation workflow.
Visitors can submit engineering, manufacturing or property enquiries directly through the site, upload supporting files and provide enough information for the request to be assessed properly before any conversation begins.
The quote system supports technical files such as STL, 3MF, STEP, DXF, DWG, PDF and ZIP files, while enquiries can also include project photographs and supporting information.
Each quotation request receives its own reference number and can be managed internally through WordPress using defined stages such as New, Reviewing, Quoted, Won and Lost.
Secure file handling, private admin downloads and internal notes were added so that the website works as a practical business tool rather than simply a marketing front end.
Anti-spam protection was also added without introducing visible CAPTCHA screens. Hidden honeypot fields and form-timing checks operate behind the scenes so genuine users see a clean enquiry experience while automated submissions can be silently rejected.
Built to grow with the business
The manufacturing section was expanded into dedicated service pages covering 3D printing, 3D scanning and modelling, reverse engineering, CNC manufacturing, CAD and DFM, and prototype-to-low-volume production.
The site also supports RSBSE’s wider delivery model: work can be undertaken directly where appropriate or coordinated through managed specialist partners where additional capability is required.
That distinction was important. The finished site does not pretend the company owns every machine or discipline it may need. Instead, it presents RSBSE as the engineering and project-delivery lead capable of taking responsibility for the complete scope.
The final result is a website that feels much closer to the business behind it: experienced, technically capable, practical and built around delivery.
